About The Gourd’s Gone Wild

Owner of The Gourd’s Gone Wild and professional carving artist, Bryan, first started carving pumpkins in 2005. He began when his young daughters asked their dad to carve them two pumpkins for Halloween. By the time he finished, he realized that he also wanted to display some carves for himself of subjects he'd enjoy for the display in addition to theirs.

As his Halloween display grew larger from that first year, it also became filled with greater, much more detailed carves as he improved and carved numerous other subjects that interested him. His house now is visited by numerous families and trick or treaters who plan year after year to visit Halloween night and see these intricate carvings. With so many people coming to view his pumpkins, it was only a matter of time before people started to inquire how they could have one of their very own. While selling them locally now for years, Bryan has decided to make them available for anyone interested in having one, though shipping will be limited to the continental United States.

While originally carving only real pumpkins, he realized there was an option when he found artificial foam pumpkins (a.k.a. 'Everlasting Pumpkins').  Since there is no time limit for the carving process, this greatly increases the amount of detail that can be added to the carves as well as allowing pumpkins to be carved year round.  Therefore, this is his media of preference.

Today, Bryan practices his craft professionally and has made his carved pumpkins available to customers on a commission basis.
